Our story

It began with a single rail of blush silk.

Maison Rose opened in 2016 in a two-room atelier with one dress form, a well-loved sewing machine and a rail of blush silk. We wanted to make clothes the old way: patterns cut by hand, seams finished properly, and only as many pieces as we could make well.

Nearly a decade on, very little has changed. We still work with mills we know by name, still make in runs of forty or fewer, and still believe a beautiful thing should last long enough to be handed on.

What we hold to

Natural fibres

Silk, linen, cotton and wool from mills we trust. No synthetics, no shortcuts, and nothing that will not age gracefully.

Hand-finished

Patterns cut by hand and seams finished by our small team. The details you cannot see are the ones that make a piece last.

Small batches

We make forty pieces or fewer of each style. Less waste, more care, and a wardrobe that never turns up on everyone else.
